check with state or dealers. I do not think (true)stock mopeds were over 50cc.
Moped means bike with motor and pedals

Moped rules vary from state to state. In most states, you are too young to ride
one.  Keep it in the yard for a few years.  Store it in a garage.  Give in a good
cleaning after use and hang on to it.  Twenty years from now, you will be glad you did. 
I know, becaue I am 71 and still grieve about things that got away when I was
younger.  I have a moped and some scooters, but nothing like the motorbike I rode when I
was 17.  It's just not the same.
