Subject:	ET4 Idle / Choke Issue

I recently purchased an et4 150 that had been sitting for 3-4 years untouched. i cleaned it up, gave it a bath and a new battery and - viola! - it started right up. it idles fine for about 5 minutes, then began chugging and eventually died. i cleaned the air filter, removed the evap hose and allowed fuel to evaporate for about 2 days. again it started right up, idles fine for 30-40 seconds, then chugs and dies. i drained all fuel, tried again, same result. am i overlooking something here?
