It sounds like you may be running out of fuel once you get to higher speeds, and the fuel cant get to the carb fast enough once at these speeds. I had a similar problem and replaced the complete petcock assembly as well as cleaned out the sludge from old gas a nd rust inside the tank. Then I coated the tank with a sealer and the Yamahopper has been running fine. Actually did it to 2 QT50's I have. Great little scoots. BTW the tank cleaning kit I used(did both bikes) is from POR-15 Inc.and was about $29.95 inluding shipping.Phone number is 973-887-1999 and they are located in Morristown, NJ. Let me know how you make out. BTW, you wouldn't happen to have a shop manual(not owners) for the QT50 would you? -- Lenny Seidman Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, USA email: lseidman@erols.com

You should have no trouble finding a moped in your area. Look for a used goods newspaper, and check under motorcycles. When I lived in Wash., mopeds were easily available (new and used). Also, check for sale bulletin boards on campus and on other campuses in the area. The classified ads are an ok place to look also, but have been less productive for me in terms of time. Last, check the for-sale boards at local cycle shops. I've just bought a moped for the first time and was successful particularly with the used goods newspapers. If you can't find one call a local auto parts store, they may be a good place to start. Good Luck! Rhett
