They've probebly upgraded the law to be in line with other states.

Hello:
I saw something kind of "disturbing" the other day. I was coming from
lunch the other day and I saw a Derbi GPR parked in front of a Dunkin
Donuts. What's weird about that? It had a moped license plate. What's
even weird is that NJ requires pedals and be automatic. Unless there is
an automatic Derbi GPR 50 with pedals, which I have not seen, I would
love to know how it was done. I love my Tomos, but sometimes I do need
a little "uuump!"...
