I welded a Biturbo muffler from a Puch onto
the exhaust system. It didn't make any difference at all -- I found out why
when
I pulled the header. The diamater of the head pipe is about half the
diamater of
the hole in the exhaust manifold. With that much restriction at the header,
it
really doesn't matter what muffler you throw on there (the header is
SMALL -- I
can't fit my middle finger into it). I'm currently trying to find a header
that
has a bigger diamater so I can de-restrict this bike. I think the bike
would be
much faster with better pipes.

Hi
What do you mean by the header? It is normal to have a 10 -15 mm outlet at
the end of the pipe.. while at the beginning / manifold / cylinder port it
is 20-28mm diam.. is usual.
in the manifold there are 'waves ' of outlet pressure while at the end this
must be a constand flow, your ears wouldn't like a in un-damped wave on your
ears :).
