Hi Mike,

It's also possible that you revved it too high before the piston & cylinder
were broken in correctly. If you replace both cylinder & piston you'll have
to break them in for about 150 miles, driving your ped at about half speed,
and always allow it a good warming-up before revving it a bit further. If
you only replaced the piston & rings, you only need to break it in this way
for about 60 to 80 miles.
