Avanti autopower - by

I liked the way the bike looked so I bought one...Unfortunately when I received
it by truck..it was needing some serious assembling. It was not too difficult to
put the hardware on, but when it came to all those wires including the turn signals,
I ended up with a mess! The diagrams are not clear on tying into the harness with
color codes between bike and schematic are rediculous! I tried to start it, and gas
leaked all over the ground (stuck floats) I found later after having to disassemble the
carburetor!!!
I now have it for a week and it won`t start even after i fixed the floats....Can
someone help me????

Recently purchesed an Avanti Super Sport. Like it, but seems a bit noisy on the
front, as if the speedometer cable or brakes are making a grinding noise. Anyone else
experience this? Also, tops out at about 35mph (with a 150lb rider), anyone getting better
mph?

i just bought a new 2001 avanti super sport. I was wondering if anyone else had
purchased one and has broken it in. If someone has, i would be very pleased to know some
stats about it since i have to put 300 miles on it first. If others haven`t seen it
it looks like a motorcycle. put `avanti reveiw` for the title.

9/25/01: I`ve had my Autopower for 5 months now and have ridden it a little over
500 miles without a second of trouble. Nothing has come loose or broken and it runs
better all the time. At first I thought it was a little buzzy, especially above 35 mph,
but it gets smoother as it gets more miles on it. I`m using 50-1 oil in it now and
it runs about 42 mph on the level. Mileage is not what they advertise, I get about
90 mpg, but I run hard most of the time. The more I ride it the better I like it.

I have had the Autopower for about 3 weeks. I have been riding it everywhere.
I have put about 300 miles on it and have had no problems. I also found the
cheepest place to buy them. Haggerstown MD. I paid less than $900, new, with
turnsignals. Best moped I have ever ridden. I average 35 mph and can get up to 40-42 on
flats, I commute with it 20 miles a day and have only used about 2 gallons of fuel.
Well worth the money spent.
