Tomos - by Bill

The Bikes themselves are great, I have 3 with 10,000 miles each, which is the
drop dead point. No major problems on any of them until 10K. TOMOS USA and Doug
Joseph SUCK. I wanted to buy a new bike in 2009, before all my bikes reached 10K
miles. Because of shit head DJ, no new 2009 Tomos Mopeds were available. I`ve spent
nearly as much in parts to fix my 2008 as it would cost to buy a 2009, IF IT WERE
AVAILABLE. I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE NEW 2009, IF IT WERE AVAILABLE. FUCK YOU DOUG JOSEPH.
YOU ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH TOMOS USA.

Hey, I just bought a Tomos Targa to ride around the barn at horse shows, and was
wondering what kind of oil and gas you need to use in them as I have never owned one
before! Thanks.

I have a 1997 Tomos moped and i see it get`s a whole lota bad credit, Her`s soem
facts i got mine when i was 16 and loved being able to drive at such a young age plus
it really was cool haveing the girls ask for rides whitch is by the way possable on
the tragra Lx model lol, anyways it had a biturbo exhaust pipe i slightly modified i
took the dumb cap off first thing and took out that glass packing that sounded like
garbadge and was easily able to tune it and leave the jets stock. with only the exhaust
opened up considering the restriction at your manifold that keeps it governed, i was
seeing 50+ on flat surfaces. for those who question this lets talk about that hapens
during the 2 cycle fireing cycle, it basickly during the tdc(top dead center) point
compresses the gasses to the sparkplug and cause spark gap to create a explosive igniter,
(like your stove to be honest). It is at it`s bdc (bottom dead center) that it creates
power in the shaft by turning the rod (think of a old locamotive wheel with the
plunger and the wheel moveing insync with the wheel. We then have the ehaust gasses
going out of the ehasut port and to eficiently acomplish this we need to have a large
enough ehahaust manifold, now i have a photographic memory and i cannot remember any
real detials of what to do to make it run better but they do run quite nicely and to
change the float valve or carboratur or eaven the jets will efect it`s mpg ratio`s. i
like to keep my 100 mpg, and use the biturbo ehaust with a 27 tooth sprocket in the
front and a 20 tooh sprocket in the back to increase over all speed. smaller in the
back and bigger in the frone means more speed for you :) this is a verry cheap
modification and will be verry sucessfull. with a good ehaust manifold and pipe like biturbo
or tech i hope this little bit of info helps you i was inspired to write this after
seeing how many people really have no idea how to get the same gas usage but better
preformance :) enjoy your moped. Btw i have a suzuki Gsf 400 Bandit motorcycle for those
saying that i have no idea what im saying ever see a turbo charger garate on a 400
before lol, take care everyone and have fun.
