Mechanically it has been sound and solid. It starts right up in all weather and delivers great gas mileage---68 mpg in town and almost 90 on the highway. Top speed is just over 60 mph on the flat with no wind for my 190 pound body. 55 is a more comfortable cruising speed.

The Vespa is solidly build and looks fantastic on the road. People are always commenting on it. I ride it everywhere and a 200 mile trip is a joy. If I have any concerns about the scooter it is with the rear tire. They have consistently required replacement at around 2000 miles. I have run Pirelli SL38s but I have a Continental Zippy 1 on order in hopes of getting more mileage.
