2003 Yamaha Zuma 49cc scooter (moped) - by Paul
We purchased two of these and wow, what a difference from my old Honda spree! It`s hard to believe that both of these scooters engines are only 49cc. Feisty is a good way to describe the motor. After a little bog off the line the engine really comes alive in the 10-35 mph range. Tops for me is about 40 on the flat lands-I weigh about 185lbs. The front disc brake is so strong that it overloads the forks. The drum in the rear is OK at best. Mine had a warped rear brake straight from the factory and the whole rim needed to be replaced(the surface of the brake drum is integral with the rim)Covered under warranty of course. Other than that I am impressed with the comfort, smoothness, and handleing. I have taken several all day rides with my scoot and it does surprisingly well in city traffic. In zones that the speed limit is 25-35 the Zuma has no problems keeping up. Here in Cleveland there are a lot of potholes and the suspension does admirably. The oil reservoir is huge and will last at least 300 miles before it will take a quart and a half. For what it is I give it a 8 out of 10. Compared to the competition(honda ruckus, metropolitan, vino) its much better.

91` Yamaha Razz (moped) - by Paul
I Love my razz. I just purchesed it about a week ago ,and i have already put 115 miles on it!!!!!! Its got good pick up, I can do catwalks on the beast. Very smooth ride. But the electric start takes so much out of the battery so i just use the kick start. DURABLE Ive already Crashed like 3 times and the only thing that happened was the paint got chipped. -Kicks ass- I would recommed it to anyone loking for a reliable machine with little matnenice

Yamaha QT50 Yamahopper (moped) - by Sheldon Cwinn
Okay I sold my PA50 moped for a Honda Aero 80 scooter. I really missed the `ped. Guess you could say that I am a moped kind of a person. Enter the Yamaha QT50 that is basically brand new (its a 1985 but it was won in a contest and it sat in smeone`s basement for 16 years!!!)

The Yamaha is not a speed demon. It tops out at 28 - 30 MPH with the wind behind me. (I weigh 220 on a good day!) It is very smooooooth however. This is a direct drive unit, using a drive shaft. Actually the transmission is perhaps not that efficient hampering torque quite a bit on the low-end. But the accelleration picks up on the high-end!

This is a beautifully manufactured product. It has a kick start, turn signals, and CDI ignition. Quite advanced for its time. Parts seem to be available from Yamaha, however, it takes some time to get them.

Does anybody know if thereis a biturbo anywhere out there??? If there is I am a buyer!

Dear Moped Enthusists,
I have rode the Yamaha Riva Razz for a week with no prior experience. I have drove for seventy-five miles. I have had absolutely no problems with this moped. It starts up with no hassle. The ride is smooth and easy. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use that this machine provides.

Yamaha Razz (moped) - by Alex
My Mom got me a 2000 Yamaha Razz recently for my birthday. After one week the fenders started falling off, and the body got all screwed up mainly. The key ignition fell in also. All my friends got Razz`s also and the same things have happened to them. They have slow acceleration and no power what so ever up hill. Personally I recommand not to get them.
