Date: I certainly agree about the Spit-Fire. The motors have exceptional low end torque and are capable of 30mph+ speeds. I have riden mine over 300 mies now and the only problems I have had are not motor related. Once the little cheapy problems are taken care of these kits are very nice and I recommend them highly.

Date: I bought an 80cc kingsmotorbikes engine for my Schwinn Stingray. Flashing on the primary gear had to be dremeled off for the chain to work, the carb fitting was slotted too deeply had to be siliconed to prevent air bleed, the ignition electrode at the spark plug doesn't stand up to the vibration, the plastic chain tensioner and the cables are nice trys. The motor is however quite strong and allows for pedal-less take-offs from the get-go. Keeping the speed under 20 mph. for the break in, is quite a challenge. For the money this is definitely the way to go.

Date: ya i just bought the 48cc engine and cant wait till it arrives here in remote part of canada--i am a ranch mechanic so the only thing i needed to know was how reliable the engine is--i can jerry rig the rest on my own--i had started to build my own from scratch but was having trouble figuring out how to clucth it and figure out the right gearing for the sprockets--then i found this kit cheaper than i could do it from scratch with tons of trial and error--so as long as the basics of the engine castings and gearing is right i can invent the rest
