LoTec,
The fuel mixture can
be adjusted by changing the setting on the tapered needle protruding from the
bottom of the air slide. You will see that it's position is determined by a
small
clip inserted in one of four grooves on the top of the needle. This clip
then
rests inside the bottom of the slide.
Unless I missed something, the bing on my Batavus has no fuel adjustment,
you must change the jet. I never liked it (the carb) for that reason. I truly
hope that you are right as that means I can put the other bike in service. It
has a carb problem and I was going to keep it as a parts bike (had no takers
on it's sale). I'm in the middle of moving right now and won't have time to
mess with it for a while. ARE YOU SURE? I can't believe that I missed that
when I cleaned the carb
