Hello list.

I have a few mopeds I'm willing to trade or fix up. If you know where to
get any of the parts I need, or if U want one of them, lets talk.

-1977 Tomos w/ 600 miles This was given to me after sitting outside 3 years
without a spark plug. I sprayed some liquid wrench in there and hammered
out the piston with a wooden dowel. Sand papered the cylindar and piston,
freed up the rings, put it all back together and bbuurrrrrr zoomed down the
street at about 40mph

-197? Moto Guzzi moped. 50cc seems to have a second gear Got this puppy
running around the block by duct taping a piece of a bic pen to the fuel
line and sticking it through a screw hole in the carb. Bought a new carb,
needs an oversize, any leads?

-1990 Honda Spree 50 Needs back wheel. Bad body damage.

-1977 Motobecane Needs new clutch, TLC

-1993 Elite 50 needs a seat

-1980 Peugeot 102 sp This is my favorite. May I ask the listmembers
advice on this one? It goes about 30 or so, but doesn't climb up hills.
Is this normal for a moped or what?

The carb has some leaky areas. Where the air filter meets the metal, there
used to be a jury-rigged gasket. I scraped that all off and bound it
together with string. Also, where the float was, the rubber gasket was
shit, so I removed that which caused the float to always stick shut. So I
cut a mm off the float pin. Seems to work ok. Will spending $75 on a new
carb give much of a performance gain?

Now, how about the exaust? I've heard something about cleaning it, but it
doesn't look like it can be taken apart. Do I just pour some degreaser in
there?

Thanks all.

-Aur
