So far rules in the Netherlands have been fairly simple and well defined. Now that the rules are changing with the whole europe uniting and stuff it's getting completely out of hand. The rules aplying for new mopeds are clear (sorta). But for peds befor 96 it's a completely different story. Everything is so complicated that the oldtimer moped clubs had to tell the government what their new rules meant for older mopeds. Now the situation is becoming like this, any moped is legal if it has been legal in any european country at any given time. To check whether a ped has been illegal as it is all the time in all countries is close to impossible. And it's the job of the police to find out, not the owner. :) Robbert
