Use a paper gasketat the base. Originaly there's no gasket at the head.
You could use a aluminium one, but it's not necessary.
It's better not to use any gaskets you can buy in a tube (liquid stuff).
It's perfect for the gearbox, but at the cilinder it will get too hot.
