Err, I use Honda or Kreidler oil. Doesn't say what sort of oil it is on the flask. 15W40 or 10W40 will do fine tho'. > I got a good deal on some Amsoil 2stroke synthetic for the > Premix and it says to use it at 100 to1 does this sound right? It's an old engine. Oil has become better, premix used to be 1 : 25. Now it's 1 : 50. I don't know how good this synthetic oil from Amsoil is, but I wouldn't go lower then 1 : 50. I use a synthetic oil from Texaco at about 1 : 40. > Asto the > gearbox I found some Valvolene 20/50 racing Oil should be OK you think? Sounds good. As long as the viscosity is not too high. > One other question should I borrow a torque wrentch or just tighten up > (cyclinder head) snug crosswise? Willie Always tighten the head crosswise. I've never used a torque wrench myself. Just don't tighten it too much. Robbert
