there should be 3 levers, 2 silver colored and one black colored on the
handlebars. the 2 silver are brakes and the black is a starting
lever/clutch. the "correct" starting procedure would be to get on the moped,
pull and hold the starting lever, and pedal forwards with the gas petcock in
the "on" position and the kill switch on run.(if there is one). hold and
pedal until u hear the engine start and now it's started. this is how it
SHOULD be. MAKE SURE you use FRESH gas and oil mix. the mix is usually 50:1
in puch's. if you have questions about that too, don't be afraid to ask.
also if i were u i would clean out the gas tank with nothin other than,
fresh gas, and if gas was left in the tank for 17 years, you got a HUGE
problem on your hands most likely.
