some info on this ped too!

First of motobecane made a couple of houndred different types of moped
under the name Mobylette, so Motobecane Moby tells me very little about
the type of moped you have. It most likely is a G50 like the picture
Jerry provided.
If so, check which size the carburetor is (9 or 12 mm, if 9 replace by
12). Check the muffler, the one on the picture is a great one. You can
take about 1 mm of the top of the cilinder as Jerry already mentioned.
You can also widen the inlet and outlet ports in the cilinder.
Do not change anything of the carburetor, gurtners are very complicated
carbs to get right and by just taking the airfilter off or replacing it,
power decreases. You can exchange it for a bigger one or a different
one. For instance Bing with an adjusteble main jet, or in case you realy
wanna go fast a Del 'Orto 16 or 18 mm (you have to make sure the inlet
is big enough to handle it, if you don't have experience with this or
don't know one who has, I wouldn't recommend doing this).
Mobylette mopeds are easy to make faster. There's very little that can
go wrong, slim chance of overheating.
Depending on how fast you like to go, make very sure the brakes are in
top condition and can handle it.
If you'd like more detailed information you can mail me privately.
