hi i have a few motobecanes ranging from 1976 to 1980. about three of them
have the same problem in that they lack sufficient spark at low rpm's. i can
get them to run at about 20 miles per hour at full throttle and then once i
let go of the throttle the bike dies. i have narrowed it down to the spark.
how can i check the points on a motobecane? i cannot get into the magneto on
any of them. i tried using a 3/8 adaptor to get the bolt off, but all the
bolts are stuck, and i am turning them clockwise, which is the right way.
are there any tricks or suggestions that may be wrong with my mopeds? thanks
Ryan Turner
