I installed 12Volt bulbs in my old 6 volt system and ran it off a 12
volt M/C battery.Just charged battery a few times a year.I made a "NEW"
seperate system and it also worked with engine off.U did not say what U
now have on what ped.I used the lights from a CAT EYE ,Model BL 700
system sold as an ass'y in the 1970's.For the head light,took out the
old 21 watt light bulb/reflector ass;y and installed a 18 watt SEALED
BEAM ,6 volt moped headlight ( G E 4667 also from the 1970's)and much
brighter.Only used 18 watts and more voltage for tail light.
