Jonas, First I'll say your English is fine. You have the right idea about the gears. What you describe is the standard shift pattern found on most motorcycles. 1 down-first (starting from neutral) 1/2 up-neutral another 1/2 up-second 1 more up third 1 more up fourth The shift lever is made to respond to taps only, do not hold the lever in gear or use it for a foot rest as this will confuse the transmission. Just tap the gear you want then remove your toe. You must go through all the gears to go from first to fourth or back, their are no shortcuts. Sometimes neutral is hard to find or you "lose it". In this case tap down till you find first then lightly tap up. Gear shifts go easier with the bike moving so you may want to go into first or neutral as you slow down. If you get stuck in a gear, try letting the clutch out a little, for slight engagement and try again. Can't help with the speed question as I'm not familiar with your bike. My son's moped does 25-27 top. I don't know if yours has been detuned. Hope this helps Hank Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
