This is a very high rating. DOT is the standard for motorcycle helmets. BELL makes a nice 1/2 helmet for $50. VEGA 1/2 helmet is about $30.-40. I have a HJC (65). only because it fit me better. No way would I go for a full face helmet on a small bike. They are the best protection but WAY TOO hot. Somehow I find that a full helmet "takes away" from the experience. Try a 1/2 helmet with a visor, You'll like it. A good pair of sunglasses will serve to complete the look and help the old peepers out. When your wife gets to work just tell her to say "Hair by Honda." BTW. Why limit yourself to 50cc? There are some cool scoots out there around 200-300cc.
