| Developed in the late 1930s, the french vélosolex first appeared in 1946, just in time to
exploit the post-war boom in moped sales. in what many considered an act of gallic eccentr
icity, the designers chose not to put the engine in the conventional position in the centr
e of the frame but above the front wheel, which the single-cylinder two-stroke motor drove
via a roller. pressure from rival manufacturers eventually forced the introduction of mor
e conventional models but the original vélosolex remained an immutable fixture of the rang
e.
this a historic french vélosolex model 3800 from 1986.

| Been sitting for 20 years. i bought parts and got it running but you will need new throttl
e assembly as on/off switch doesn’t work and throttle doesn’t work.

ht with switch/horn . 19` rims with 23`x2` tires. 1.3 gal tank - 225mpg , 35mph - flywheel
magneto staring without battery - alternator runs lights/horn -
has dual chains & can be pedaled like a bicycle if desired .
