I bought my Island Hopper folding bike with Tecumseh (est) 50 cc motor and 5speed gearing.in about 2007it on my SeArk Voyager (N0mad) tralerable houseboat for inland cruising . It worked fine, though motor can be balky if not run regularly.
sold the boat though and no longer use the bike due to my age

Island hopper 1 (bicycle motor) - by Jonathon DeCles
I aquired my Island Hopper 1 a few months ago. It was used so I have no documentation on the motor. If any one has some manual I can get a copy of it would be appreciated greatly.

Island hopper mariner (bicycle motor) - by smalltrixie
48cc 2 stroke engine kicks butt!! cruisung around 25-28 m.p.h. around city streets i can easily keep up with traffic at a fraction of the cost! Get a lot of compliments and double takes on that little cruiser. Well made. Drive a sedan & I can fold it up & put it in my trunk when needed.

Island hopper (bicycle motor) - by Lonnie
Gotta ask you, what`s your limit on fuel prices? Mine was 3.54 a gallon. Did the research and decided on the Island Hopper engine for my cruiser. I have used it every day 20 miles round trip, kickin the man in the teeth laughing all the way on 6.00 a week in gas. the staff at fold up bikes were very helpful helping this all thumbs guy with any problems, and the delivery was quick. Outstanding job. Stickin it to the man is my motto.
