I have owned the following mopeds - (3) Puchs, (1) Indian 4 stroke, a 1984 Derbi, and a 2000 Tomos Targa LX. The Derbi(made in Spain) by far was the best built and fastest, and best hill climber of them all. Derbi then went to scooters with no pedals, which PA laws
consider(ed)? a motorcycle, so I had to look elsewhere. The Tomos ($1,600 OUCH!)is made cheap,both my side cases cracked liked eggshells. The screw that holds the throttle cable in the throttle broke off along with the soft metal it was threaded into. It burns out several headlights a year, surges in the magneto??? It had/has serious vibrations from new, and the suspension, well, does it have any? All of this said, the speedometer shows over 5,400, but that is either in kilometers, or the odometer is off. Every mile I ride, turns 1.5 on the speedometer.So I know it has 3,600 miles on it. Since it was time for a good de- carbonization/rebuild, I installed an Airsal 65cc kit and I am waiting for a Bi Turbo pipe. The Red Targa LX with gold wheels turns allot of heads and the Airsal kit has made it fun to ride again. The gold trim on the pipe should look good also. I bought them both at the best price on Ebay. I don`t think I will replace the carb, but can the jet size be increased on the the stock carb. If so, what size jet do you recommend. Thanks. PS - I would not spend $1,600 for another Tomos, sorry. I think I have the experience to make that statement.

iam tom, am selling a 1998 Tomos Targa lx.
I put over $1,000 bucks into it.
It is all performance parts, its a racing moped! fastest shit out there! This is

6. 27 front sproket

8. performance jet

My friends clocked me at 65mph, i took it on the highway by my house! and i was
flying with the cars, the people were like WTF! hahahah, contact me if interested!
Great racing moped, if u wanna win races on a moped, buy this one

I HAVE A 2001 Tomos LX WITH BITURBO PIPE AND 27 TOOTH SPROCKET AND NEW spark plug IT DOES A PERSONAL BEST OF 45 AND ONLY A LOW OF 45MPH
